Extra Wide Zero Gravity Chair
Chair width has always been an important factor.
You should always consider an extra wide zero gravity chair when buying one. The difference is huge! What is
considered as extra wide? You will have some empty space beside your upper body (left and right) if the chair is
wide enough. If you can put your arms on the chair (not the armrest) touching the sides of your body and if they
fit, it is wide enough.
Typically, an extra wide zero gravity recliner would measure between 25 to 29 inches. It could be wider but not
so wide till you can't put your forearm and elbow on the armrest.
Benefits and Features
Immediately, it feels more majestic and free, due to larger space. You don't have to cramp or confine yourself
with a US regular sized chair. You will feel more comfortable and more at ease due to the extra space at the
sides.
Finally, a suitable chair for bigger people who are taller and overweight. Extra wide zero g chairs always have
higher weight capacity, e.g. 350 lbs. They are more sturdy and heavy than normal chairs too. They are built for
larger built people who can't find the right chair size. But this doesn't mean smaller people can't sit on it.
Whether you are a small or big sized person, you will notice you can sleep better in an extra wide zero gravity
chair too. Think of it as bed sizes. You would always sleep better on a queen size bed rather than a single
bed.
Many people personally found it to be drastically different from the normal, smaller chair sizes.
With an extra wide chair, you can put a pillow that fits the chair width. Smaller chairs can't fit the pillow
because it's too narrow. Some people prefer to sit using a pillow under their knees for a slightly different
posture. This way, you can elevate your feet even higher than your heart level without touching the chair surface.
Instead, the back of your knees is resting on the pillow.
The previous method also works very well for people who don't like the relatively "hard" and minimal padding
surface that is found on all zero gravity chairs. Simply put a pillow and that will do the trick.
